Joanne was 32 when she was diagnosed with stage four breast cancer. Her sons, Michael and Stephen, were four and two.

Fortunately, the Northeastern Cancer Centre was there to save Joanne's life. She got the best possible treatment right here at home, surrounded by her family and friends.
'I slept in my own bed at night,' she says. 'I saw my kids every day. I was there to help them with homework, read them a story, kiss them goodnight. Sometimes I couldn't get off the couch, but I was there.’
Thanks to generous people like you, we provide world class treatment to 3000 patients every year. Northern Ontario is growing quickly, though, and so is the need for cancer care. Right now, we serve a population of 600,000 - in ten years, it will be close to 700,000.

Our goal is to raise $1M to expand our facility - more beds, more staff, more equipment, and ultimately, more cancer survivors like Joanne.
