Let's talk about climate change.
You're doing your part to protect our planet, and you deserve a government that will do its part, too.
The Liberals had their chance. They said they'd end fossil fuel subsidies, then they handed out $12 billion of our money to polluters who were already raking in record profits. The Liberals lied to us.
And Poilievre's Conservatives? They can't even admit that climate change is real. Even if they did, they'd still let corporations pollute our air and water for free because Conservatives care more about making money than they do about our future.
The NDP will fight for you, not big oil billionaires. We'll stop subsidizing polluters, and make them pay. We'll stop big banks from greenwashing their investments and climate policies. We'll tax oil and gas profits. And we'll create hundreds of thousands of good jobs in the north and across Canada by investing in clean energy, electric transit and vehicles, and energy efficient homes.
Here in Sudbury, we know how to make things happen - we regreen-ed our entire city. We saw what needed to be done, and together we made it happen.
That's how we'll tackle climate change - by working together for a liveable future. And it's why we need the NDP in Ottawa. We won't let polluters off the hook - we'll fight for a livable planet for our kids.
